Living in the (originally) Victorian Railway Town of Crewe in Cheshire for about 15 years really helped spark and stoke my fascination with Chimney Pots. These important pieces of largely Victorian and Edwardian heritage, sitting in plain view, slowly crumbling and being replaced as the decades progress.
In Crewe, find the Victorian terraces and lift up your eyes. Several hours of Chimney Pot spotting can be had there.
Here we have a Louvre insert mounted into what I suspect is a Ring Topped Cannon Pot. Shadowing it I reckon is an octagonal sided Big Bishop Pot.
